The Android 4.4.2 XXUFNA5 test firmware can be installed on the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE 1950’s and it is estimated that phones will receive the official OTA update in a few months to come. You can install this firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE by following the instructions mentioned below however, it should be performed by advanced users that like to fiddle with their Smartphones since its accompanied with some risks too.

Before the installation process, you need to ensure you have a back up for all the important phone data that can be otherwise be lost, Enable USB debugging option from your device settings and ensure the phone has at least 50% battery charge prior to starting the process. Step 1

Step 2

Click on the right Link to download the Odin v3.09 and switch off the phone to later boot it in ‘Download mode’. Get the ODIN 3.09 launched onto the PC.

Step 3

Connect Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE to the PC through the USB cable and give it some time for the Odin to recognize the phone to proceed to the next step. In case the identification of the phone fails, change the USB to a different port or the Samsung drivers are required to be re-installed.

Step 4

At the Odin, begin stacking Android 4.4.2 XXUFNAS5 test firmware files; click on AP first and stack file (AP 19505XXUFNAS5_373648_REV06_user low ship MULTI CERT tar md5). Proceed by clicking ‘BL’ and load file.

(CP_19505XXUFNAS5_373648_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT tar.md5) and finally click ‘CSC’ to load the file.

Step 5

The repartition option needs to be disabled now and select ‘start’ button and see Android 4,4,2 XXUFNAS5 test ROM being installed on your Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE.

Step 6

ODIN will give you the Pass alert as soon as the completion of the installation process and the Galaxy S4 LTE will restart in the Normal Mode and note the process will take some more time hence relax for a while.

Step 7

The moment the Galaxy S4 logo begins to appear, it is instructed to disconnect the device from PC. In case any problem occurs like freezing etc, it will mess with the process hence advisable to begin the process once again.

Step 8

What you need to remember is, if ODIN gives you the sign of completing the process but the phone is still not able to get back to its normal process, don’t worry, get to your FACTORY RESET which will clear away the data off the phone system partition leaving intact the other parts of the Galaxy. This is easily done through;

Turn off your handset and the phone will be booted in Stock Recovery Mode. Choose either Wipe Data or ‘factory reset’ and give the confirmation for it. This will make the phone to reboot in the normal process.
