There are different ways to put pictures on an iPad or iPhone but here we are going to achieve it with iCloud Control Panel and the Uploads folder in the Photo Stream file.

(This tutorial presumes you have by now set up and configured iCloud Control Panel for Windows)

Step 1: open an Explorer window

On your PC, open an Explorer window and steer to the file in which the photos you would like are stored. Choose those you would like right-click on them and select Copy.

Step 2: Navigate to the photos file

Navigate to the photos file. Locate the Photo Stream file which is generated once you set up the iCloud Control Panel, and double-click to see its contents. (Do not tick on the picture Stream shortcut in the Windows Explorer Favorites list since you cannot get to the Uploads file this way.)

Step 3: Open the Uploads file

Open the Uploads file in Photo Stream, right-click and Paste your copied pictures into this file.

Step 4: Photo Stream

Your pictures will show in your Photo Stream (in the Photos app) on your iPhone before long. The Photo Stream is arranged by the date on which the pictures were taken, hence they might not be simple to locate if you by now have the maximum of 1,000 photos in your stream. Nevertheless, you might discover that Windows assigns the pasted files today’s date, in which case the pictures will be at the last part of your Photo Stream.

In iOS 7, Photo Stream is called My Photo Stream and is in the Albums part at the bottom.

Pictures you upload like this can be TIFF, JPEG, PNG and the majority of RAW camera formats.

A general source of misunderstanding is that Photo Stream does not support videos; hence you cannot upload videos to your iPad or iPhone like this. To insert videos to your Camera Roll, make use of iTunes and sync them with the Photos tab (be certain to mark the Include videos box), or put in an app which permits you to insert files through File Sharing in iTunes.
