The PlusOne +1 Recommendation and sharing feature by Google has gone well into the social media sharing boxes of many websites and blogs already, and people have started sharing pages on their Google profiles using this +1 feature. Just clicking on the +1 button in any web page would add it to the list of PlusOne in your Google profile, and if the page gets a lot of +1s it is found to have a better authority by Google.

Many a times we like a web page and hit the +1 button, but often due to some reason we wouldn’t want to have that page shared on our profile. Some would want to show the list clean with only the best pages. So here is how you can remove the +1 recommendation from the list if you had hit the +1 earlier. It is a pretty easy one but still people are confused most of the times.

Method 1 – Google Profile

Login to your Google Profiles area, by going here or directly go to the plusones section here.
In the Plusone section, you would see the list of pages which you recommended. This list would be available for everyone who visit your Google profile.
Here, on the right side of every link there would be an X button which you need to click to delete the recommendation.

Just click on X and poof, it’s gone. If you accidentally clicked on the one which you didn’t want to delete, you can instantly undo the deletion and it gets restored. Removing or keeping the recommendations in the list is nothing important but still for those who would want to keep their list professional and at it’s best, the steps would come handy to remove the unnecessary sharing of links not worthy.

Method 2 – Directly on the Web Page

If you are still on the web page where you voted the site +1 but didn’t want to, then you don’t need to go to your profile and do the steps shown above. You just need to click on the +1 button once again, and the recommendation gets undone. Just hover your cursor over the button and it would show you how to do it.

That’s it. Pretty easy one but worth sharing for those who didn’t know!
