Converting blog posts into PDF is possible through quite many tools, but making things easier by directly sending the book to someone through email, is possible only through a very few, and if you are running a wordpress blog, the things would be easier as there are plugins that helps you do the same. One of them is the PDF24 plugin which helps you make the wordpress blog post into PDF format, and then you can mail the PDF file.
The PDF24 Articles to PDF plugin helps the readers to create a PDF file of the blog article they are currently reading, and there would be a box that would help you do it, either in the sidebar or in the post content. Here you have 2 modes, one is the emailing and other is the download mode. In the email mode, the users can email the PDF file, and in the download mode, the PDF file can be downloaded directly.
Here is how you can set the PDF24 on your blog, and the various options you can set –
Language, Availability of the PDF box, the PDF document and the email options, the placement of the plugin, the placement of the sidebar widget, and the placement of the link to download the post as PDF, these all options can be set and modified in the plugin settings page.
Once you install the plugin through the admin panel, or by downloading and uploading it to server, and then setting the options, you can see the plugin box in the end of the post as shown in the screenshot below.
Once you enter the email address and then hit send, the plugin will start the process of creating the PDF file, and then would send the PDF to your email address.
Here is how the blog post would appear in the PDF file, one limitation being that you would see even the ads that are within the content, if the blog has them. Best way is to use the AdBlock plugin in your browser to avoid the display of ads, which might help. I didn’t try doing that though. I would suggest not to make any changes, as you are making the PDF only for the reading purpose.
