Dell finally launched something what can actually be called a tablet device, rather than it’s 5-inch smartphone which they used to call a tablet. The new entrant into the market is the Dell Streak Pro which is a 10-inch tablet device with the Android OS. But the limitation with the launch, is that the Streak Pro is launching only in the Chinese markets, with a differently made Chinese interface.
Here are a few specifications of the Dell Streak Pro –
- 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen with 1080p playback
- Weighs 727 grams, almost the same as that of the iPad
- 1Ghz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor
- Android Honeycomb operating system, the 3.1 version
- Storage memory of 16GB
- 2 cameras – 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera
- Battery life as Dell claims is 12 hours
As of now, Apple has been the dominator in the Chinese markets too when it comes to the tablet device sales but with the pricing less than the iPad, the Dell Streak Pro can give a good competition now. China is a market where people think about the price more than at the product, so Dell is expecting to have a good sale here, where it already has the 2nd highest sales in all around the world.
The Dell Streak Pro is coming with the Dell Divide, a software interface that would help the device to be used in two modes and shift between them immediately – Work mode, Home mode.
