Unfortunately, iOS is not an open platform and you can’t fully personalize your phone. Wallpapers is the only way to make your iDevice truly yours. On iOS there are 2 ways to change your wallpaper.
Getting ready
Before proceeding you need to make sure you’ve got the wallpaper you want to use on your device. You can do that by taking a photo with your built-in camera, with Photo Stream from another device connected to your iCloud, by saving one from the web-browser or by copying photos from your computer (iTunes).
Changing the wallpaper
The first way, the classic one, is through your settings:
- On your homescreen, tap on Settings icon.
- Scroll down to Brightness & Wallpaper and select it.
- Tap on the area below Wallpaper (where the both the lockscreen and homescreen previews are).
- There you can choose between pre-installed wallpapers, Camera Roll (photos taken earlier with your camera), your copied from computer albums and your iCloud Photo Stream.
The second way of changing your wallpaper is from the Photos app:
- On your homescreen, tap on Photos icon.
- Navigate to the album where your desired wallpaper is located and tap on the Edit button.
- Select your image you want as your wallpaper and click the Share button down below the screen.
- Tap on Use as Wallpaper and crop your image to fit the screen properly.
