MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd.) in Mumbai is the fixed-line phone service, which provides some great plans and offers for the Broadband Internet service with the name Tri-Band in the Mumbai region, and these plans include both the limited and unlimited plans with different speeds, download limits and the combo offers where the speed changes after a certain download limit is reached. Below are the different plans and tariffs of the MTNL Broadband Internet:

Xpress Combo Unlimited Plans
- These are the unlimited plans, where one would get unlimited Internet but there is a limit for the speed when a certain download threshold is crossed. For example, the 2 Mbps speed is reduced to either 1 Mbps or 752 Kbps or 512 Kbps after the certain download limit is crossed.
- For these combo unlimited plans, there are rent-free landline phones given but there are no free calls available in the package. There are Landline Add-on packs available if they wanted to use the phone to make calls.
- The Monthly CPE Modem charges are Rs. 50, added to the Broadband bill.
- 2 Mbps usage limit includes download and upload data usage.
- Apart from the tariff and modem charges, a 12.36% Service tax is charged extra.

Broadband Unlimited Combo Plans
- The unlimited combo plans come with the time based speed of Internet, where during the day time from 8 AM to 6 PM, there is a certain download speed, and again different speeds from 6 PM to 12 AM, and 12 Am to 8 AM. There are a few free calls provided in each plan, and the download speeds are valid till 31/03/2013.
- A landline phone would be provided without any rental charges.

Broadband Unlimited Plans
- Download Speed indicated are only upto MTNL ISP node and are given on best effort basis as per TRAI guidelines.
- The monthly modem charges Rs 50 for MTNL CPE (Modem).
- Customers will get one free email id (4MB) with all plans, except 4999 and 9999 where they will get 4 and 6 email ids respectively.
