Samsung Galaxy Tab, the ultimate tablet device porting the Android operating system, had been there into the market with its 7-inch model but now the 10.1-inch the iPad killer has been launched already in a few places, and the Indian users can get a hand on it from the expected date August 10th. The launch in India has been delaying since June and finally there is some confirmation that the tablets would arrive the Indian markets before the mid-August. Here are a few good specifications about the Galaxy Tab 10.1 –
10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen
Android Honeycomb 3.1 operating system, the OS exclusively built for tablet devices
nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor – 1GHz and 1GB RAM
Memory of either 16GB or 32GB
2 cameras – Rear 3MP camera with autofocus with LED Flash, and 2MP front camera for video chat
Slimmer than the iPad 2
Battery life pretty good due to the 7000 mAh battery
There is no official word yet about the pricing of the Galaxy tab 10.1 in India but we are expecting it to be with the lines of the iPad 2 pricing. But if there is a bit lesser pricing, the Galaxy tab would rock the markets with no much chance left for the iPad 2 to be competing with it in a market where the pricing is given a bit more importance. And not just the iPad, but the Galaxy tab can prove a good competition to the Motorola Xoom too.
