TechPad is an Android tablet with the Android 2.1 Froyo operating system and a 7-inch touchscreen from the mobile phone company TechBerry. The company which used to launch products wiith the name of popular celebrities, which included the cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, or the detective James Bond, has come in with a 7-inch touchscreen tablet with TFT LCD and a 800×480 pixels screen resolution.
The tablet device would be running on the Android 2.1 Froyo operating system, and it is powered by the 256MB RAM and a storage of 4GB which is quite enough for many applications to be loaded and used. The connectivity options that Techpad has the Wi-Fi and USB 2.0 technology, but there is no SIM support. The only other connectivity option is the USB dongle support using which you can connect to any network data connection. To support the speed and RAM, there is a 800MHz Samsung 6410 processor.
The Techpad comes with a 1.3 Megapixel camera with a digital zoom, and a built-in microphone, and stereo speakers. As the device comes with the Android OS, there would be a few good pre-loaded apps like the default Gmail, Google Talk, Maps, and using the Android market you can download and install applications from there.
The price of the tablet device in India is around Rs. 13000.
