There are dozens of news app for iPhone, and some are not worth downloading. The good news is that? There are a number of iPhone apps that will satisfy your inner news and junkie with breaking news to alerts, in-depth reporting and lots of multimedia contents.
1. AP Mobile app
Not only does the AP Mobile the iPhone app (The Associated Press, Free) which include a ton of news content, but it also syncs with your local area news and weather. Other nifty features which include as push notifications for breaking news alerts, for gorgeous photo galleries, and the abilities to customize the kind of news which you want to see on your homepage. Interface may be little cluttered with ads and for article ratings, but it is easy to forgive since everything else about the AP Mobile works so well. Overall rating given: 4.5 stars out of 5.
The New York Times iPhone App
The New York Times app for iPhone (The NY Times, Free) isn’t best for breaking news, while it doesn’t support push notifications. Even so, app also provides access to the Times’ in-depth to reporting on a variety of topics, and now you can save news articles for up to seven days. The offline reading is another plus. NPR News App for iPhone
Not surprisingly, iPhone the app from National Public Radio (NPR, it is Free) focuses on radio news as hourly newscast and access to popular NPR radio shows. You can stream it both live archived episodes. There are plenty of articles to accompany the hours for radio and contents are available in the NPR app. Some sections – as science and technology — and it could be beefed up a bit, overall the quality of reporting is excellent here. Fluent News ReaderApp
If you get news from a variety of sources, as the Fluent News Reader (Fluent Mobile which Inc, Free) is worth a look. This app compiles the news and headlines from other organizations like Fox News, the BBC, other as the Wall Street Journal, and from USA Today. You can also customize which sources display the headlines on the homepage, but some users wish that they could add news sites not included. There are some new ads in this free app, but the wide news of its coverage makes it worth a download. Overall rating of app: 4 stars out of 5.
