Airtel, after the 4G launch in Kolkata, has now moved to Bengaluru to extend its 4G LTE services. And along with the 4G network, it would be giving Smartbytes, the add-on packs that users could use after the usual monthly data limit is exceeded. New for Airtel 4G customers – 30GB pack priced at Rs. 2,999 for heavy data users, device free on Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,999 plans, free for online viewing of 10 movie titles during first month.
The 4G services in the IT Hub Bengaluru was launched by Mr. D. V. Sadananda Gowda, Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state of Karnataka. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, CEO – India & South Asia, Bharti Airtel said, “As seen the world over, the total data usage is exploding and is doubling each year to grow to nearly 3.6 hexabytes by 2014. With the launch of 4G, India will move from being a follower in technology to matching the world in this domain. Leading from the front, Airtel is now the only operator that gives citizens of the Information Technology capitalof Bengaluru, access to entire spectrum of broadband services including 2G, 3G and now 4G – thereby giving the customers never seen before data experience”.
The new introductory offer by Airtel would let people avail the dongle for a charge initially but the cashback would in the end make the cost of the USB dongle to zero. The 4G customers of Airtel could choose from the catalogue of 35 high quality Bollywood movie, while streaming the other content in super fast speed.
Airtel would soon be implementing the 4G service in the Punjab and Maharashtra regions where they have got the licenses, along with Kolkata and Karnataka regions.
