After the best changes in the continuous releases of the Firefox browser, the Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 now the Firefox 6 is being launched but as of now, it is available through the FTP server and the actual change Firefox 6 would show is the speed up of performance of the browser, and nothing else majorly changed. The download for Firefox 6 is available from 13th August and the actual launch of the 6th version is dated 16th August 2011.
Firefox has been pretty quick in releasing the new versions of its browser and on the same day of the launch of Firefox 6, the developers would launch the beta version of Firefox 7. The quick and small releases are to bring in a couple changes and improvements, apart from the tweaks which make the performance faster. This is again always done in line with the tiny releases done by the Google Chrome people.
